What is it?
Keeper tries to recognize whether it is, for example, an invoice, contract, notice or letter.
Whether it is a PDF or a photo of a document, Keeper reads it, tries to identify what it is, gives you a short summary, pulls out important facts and dates, works out what it may belong to and flags anything that may need action. You should not have to read every document end to end, extract the important details, piece together the relationships and remember every deadline yourself.
If Keeper is not sure about something, it tells you. You can correct it, and reminders or other next steps only happen after you approve them.
WHY THIS MATTERS
With basic storage, the file is kept but the admin is still yours: reading it, finding the important details, working out what it belongs to and remembering deadlines. Keeper is designed to do most of those steps for you and ask for your review only where it is actually needed.
Keeper tries to recognize whether it is, for example, an invoice, contract, notice or letter.
It summarizes the document, pulls out important facts and dates and, where possible, shows where they came from.
It can suggest which person, provider, contract, asset or matter the document belongs to.
If it finds a deadline or something you may need to do, it brings that to your attention.
WHAT KEEPER TAKES OFF YOUR HANDS
You do not need to read it first, rename it, choose a folder or manually connect it to earlier documents. Bring it in and Keeper works through the steps, asking for review or approval only where necessary.
No renaming, pre-classifying or folder building should be required before import.
YOU: BRING IN THE DOCUMENTWhere possible, Keeper reads the text on your device so it can work from the document itself, not just its filename.
KEEPER: READS ITKeeper can give you a short summary and suggest what kind of document it is. If it is not sure, it says so.
KEEPER: MAKES SENSE OF IT AND SUMMARIZESYou should not have to reread the whole document just to find a date, amount, reference or deadline. Keeper can bring those details forward while keeping the original passage available to check.
KEEPER: PULLS OUT IMPORTANT DETAILSYou should not have to piece the relationships together in your head or across folders. Keeper can suggest the person, provider, contract, asset or matter the document belongs to and, after approval, organize it accordingly. You can correct a wrong suggestion at any time.
KEEPER: SUGGESTS THE RIGHT PLACE AND RELATIONSHIPSYou should not have to copy every deadline somewhere else by hand. If Keeper finds a deadline or task, it can flag it and suggest a reminder; the reminder is only created after you approve it.
YOU: REVIEW / APPROVE WHEN NEEDEDTHE DIFFERENCE
With basic storage the document is there, but reading, organizing and following it up are still your job. Keeper is designed to do as much of that work for you as possible.
The file is stored, but the interpretation is still yours.
Keeper can summarize it and bring the important details forward.
You classify and connect documents by hand.
Keeper can work out what the document may belong to, suggest the right place and relationships, then organize it after approval.
If you miss it, basic storage will not tell you.
Keeper can surface a deadline and suggest a reminder for you to approve.
Search depends on filenames, folders and your own memory.
Keeper can use document content and relationships to help you find it again.
Basic storage does not know that something may need a reply, payment or follow-up.
It can prepare the next action, while reminders and other actions still require your approval.
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE
A few everyday examples of the kind of admin Keeper can take off your hands.
An insurance letter comes in. Keeper can help bring the details you need for the claim straight to the surface.
Keeper can bring the issuer, amount and payment deadline forward so you do not have to reread the invoice to find them.
A contract may later receive amendments, invoices or fresh notices.
Quotes, invoices, photos and warranties may belong to the same work even when they arrive in different formats.
TRUST AND CONTROL
The default direction is to process documents locally instead of sending them elsewhere without a clear need.
For an important date or amount, you should be able to go back to the part of the document Keeper read it from.
If something cannot be recognized confidently enough, Keeper should ask you to check it.
A later automatic suggestion should not quietly undo a correction you already made.
